Marble

It is a metamorphic stone formed from limestone transformation, and the main mineral is calcite. The stone has been widely used for sculpture. The facade of the Taj Mahal is of marmar and passing light is one of the most important features of this kind of stone. Marmar is most commonly used for interior spaces of the building, floor and body.

Theoretically, the stone is a kind of limestone and metamorphic stones with more specific gravity which composed of calcite crystals, dolomite, or both of them. Some of the marble stones have a very high water absorption, so they should not be used in places where there is a plenty of water, such as a bathroom, a toilet or a kitchen. Marble stones are used in indoor also outdoor places.
